About the carousel hero

Landing page hero areas have 3 main presentation options:

  • A static hero image
  • A ambient video loop with no text or sound
  • A carousel of images

Hero carousels support up to 4 panes. Each pane will automatically advance after about 5 seconds. The panes transition with a simple fade-in and fade-out effect. The visitor may stop the advancement by using the play/pause button to the left of the pane indicators. Each pane indicator will function as a timer to let the visitor know how long before the carousel advances. The carousel can be manually advanced or reversed by using the arrow controls that appear on the left and right of the hero area.

To add a carousel hero, do the following...

On the General tab, open the "Visual Hero" section.

Add a Hero Carousel component

Configure the first pane of the carousel

  • Add a title. Titles support some rich formatting options. You can add bold, italics or Baxter blue text to titles.
  • Add a hero image. The carousel only supports adding images uploaded as a hero image.
  • Add an optional CTA button. Provide the button text and link for the carousel pane.
  • Select the wash overlay. By default the wash is "white" but you have the option to select a darker grayish overlay.
  • Select the title text size...
    • N/A is normal or large text. This is used for short titles
    • Medium is slightly smaller text, but it support titles with 45 to 80 characters
    • Small is slightly smaller than medium and supports titles with 80 to 150 characters

Add additional panes and repeat the configuration.
